About assem Al Refaei, mD

Hey there! I’m Dr. Assem Al Refaei, a proud 2023 MD graduate from the University of Jordan. After a fantastic year as a medical intern at a private hospital in Amman, I’m now in the thick of it as a PGY1 internal medicine resident with the Dubai Health Authority. Along the way, I’ve been lucky enough to publish 14 research articles in international, peer-reviewed journals and mentor over 100 incredible colleagues in research.

Oh, and I scored a 283 on the USMLE Step 2 CK—still waiting for the prize money on that one! I also created my own course for the USMLE exams. Take a look around this site to learn more about me, my academy, favorite reads, publications, and follow my career journey.
